PURPOSE:To manufacture a suture with a needle not damaging the tissue in one caulking action. CONSTITUTION:The end section of a suture needle 10 is inserted into an axial insertion hole 21 provided on the caulking section 22 of an eyeless needle 20, the caulking section 22 is coupled into the recess 33 of a lower die 30, the center section of the caulking section 22 is pressed from above by the projection 41 of an upper die 40, the cross section of the caulking section 22 is formed into a continuous shape over the whole periphery with a recess 23 at one position, and the cross section area of the caulking section 22 is made smaller than the cross section area of an adjacent portion 24.
