PURPOSE: To provide a method and an apparatus for blow molding a thermoplastic resin for manufacturing a hollow body having a very large strength of a product and an excellent finishing precision forming the body having a uniform thickness at all part, easily making a temperature of a preform uniform to thermally adjust a material and hence reducing an energy expense. CONSTITUTION: The method for blow molding a thermoplastic resin comprises a first step of injecting the resin of a predetermined amount for obtaining a thermal balance adapted to transfer a thermoplastic state to a thermal elastic state in a mold 2 for premolding having a large surface area and a temperature regulated cylindrical narrow cavity, a second step of forming a hollow preform 13 positioned at two stages having a controlled thickness and a closed bottom by a mechanical extrusion, and a third step of introducing a material into the mold 12 connected to the mold 2 to finally blow mold to form a hollow body 14.
