<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the gear, especially the speed meter gear excellent in abrasion resistance and sliding properties by a method in which the fitting part of the shaft made of steel has been heated by high frequency wave induction, and the gear made of synthetic resin is press fitted to said fitting part, and then the inner periphery of the fitting hole of the gear is fused and solidified. CONSTITUTION:The gear 20 of a speed meter is formed of e.g. nylon 66 or the nylon 66 containing glass fiber as reinforcing material. When such gear 20 is connected to the shaft 12 made of steel, the shaft 12 made of steel on which knurled surface 19 is provided on its outer peripheral surface is inserted into the through hole provided so as to penetrate the center of a heating jig 10 up and down. The recessed part receivable the gear 20 is formed on the inner peripheral side of the ringlike projected part 14 of said heating tool 10. The induction heating coil 15 fitted onto the outer periphery of the ringlike projected part 14 is energized, and at the state where the fitting part of the shaft 12 made of metal is heated by high frequency wave induction, the gear 20 is press-fitted to the fitting part, and then the inner periphery of the fitting hole of the gear 20 is fused and solidified, thereby connecting the gear to the shaft 12.</p> |
