PURPOSE:To easily apply printing even to the lower position of the object to be printed fed on a feed apparatus by obliquely providing the base for fixing a mechanism generating ink particles and bonding them to the predetermined position of the object to be printed with respect to the center axis of a head. CONSTITUTION:In the head 6 of an ink jet printer, the ink stream injected from a nozzle 4 is formed into ink particles in the vicinity of a charging electrode 1 and the ink particles are charged in the charge quantity corresponding to a character signal and deflected when they pass through a deflection electrode 2 to be bonded to an object 7 to be printed to print a character constituted of dots. In this case, the base 5 on which the nozzle 4, the charging electrode 1, the deflection electrode 2 and a gutter 3 are mounted is provided so as to be inclined by about 4 deg. with respect to the center axis of the head 6. By this constitution, a printing position can be lowered to a position (c) and printing can be applied to the lower part of the object 7 to be printed. |
