PURPOSE:To enhance operability by continuing manual paper feed without stopping paper feed operation even if next paper is set before the first paper is pulled out of a manual insertion tray because an operator mistakes operation at the time of manual insertion paper feed. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 21 judges the generation of jamming when a second sensor 15 is not turned ON though paper 12 reaches the second sensor 15 within a definite time after a first sensor 14 is turned ON to stop paper feed and printing operation. On the other hand, the CPU 21 judges an operation mistake when the paper 12 passes within the definite time after the first sensor 14 is turned ON not to turn the first sensor 14 OFF and, in this case, printing operation is continued without performing the treatment of jamming. |
