PURPOSE:To improve color development properties such as developed color density and development rate in color development for pressure sensitive recording by adding the metal salt of salicylate derivative expressed by a specific chemical formula, ester hydroxybenzoate or ester trihydroxybenzoate to a single layer. CONSTITUTION:The metal salt of salicylate derivative expressed by a specific chemical formula, ester hydroxybenzoate or ester trihydroxybenzoate are added to a single layer of a pressure sensitive recording material. In the formula, a group expressed by R1 to R4 is hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group. The recommended salicylate derivative is 3,5-bisaralykylsalicylic acid, 3-alkylsalicylic acid, 3-alkyl-5-aralkylsalicylic acid or 3-alkyl-5-alkylsalicylic acid. The preferably recommended metal salt of the salicylate derivative is zinc salt. In addition, the ester hydroxybenzoate or ester trihydroxy benzoate should have a molecular weight of 300 or higher. |
