PURPOSE:To prevent any misdetection of toner density at the time of preparing a reference density pattern image using an eraser with a large spread in light quantity distribution. CONSTITUTION:The moving average value of specified frequency data continued in sampling the density detection output of a reference density pattern image at each specified time is calculated by a moving average value calculating means, while the minimum value detected out of the moving average value by a minimum value detecting means is calculated, and this minimum value is outputted as the toner density. Thus, the toner density in the lowest level is detachable. |
