PURPOSE:To detect the density of a reference toner image formed on a sensitive drum in an accurate manner. CONSTITUTION:This invented image former forms the even-numbered pieces of a reference toner image in the specified pattern as A' and B in a position on a sensitive drum 1 whose circumference is divided into equal parts, while reflection density in each reference toner image is detected by a photodetection means 10, and the means of this detected value is judged as density in the reference toner image, and based on this density, it controls an image forming condition. |
