PURPOSE: To provide a blade holder whereby a contaminated blade can be removed without touching it. CONSTITUTION: A blade holder 10 includes a fixed handle part 12 and a rotating handle part 14. Both of the parts 12, 14 make relative pivotal movements around a pivot 24 adjoining to the position of a blade. Thereby the relatively long, non-rotating fixed handle part for clamping the blade holder is provided. Thus, a blade can be discharged by controlling the blade holder by one hand and releasing the holder by the thumb, etc. The handle parts have a boss 20 adjacent to the blade, the boss being shaped to match an opening in the root of the blade. By pressing and releasing the fixed part and pointing the blade and the boss of the fixed part downward, the blade can be dropped from the blade holder and collected in a container without touching it. |
