PURPOSE:To effectively utilize a foamed styrene container problematical in disposal of waste matter at the present time as the binder of a building material or a molded body. CONSTITUTION:A foamed styrene powder is obtained by subjecting foamed styrene to shearing grinding using a grinder having a rotary drum equipped with a large number of teeth and has a dimension passing through a 1mm-mesh screen by 60% or more and fully passing through a 6.73mm-mesh screen. This foamed styrene powder is compressed to be fed as a foamed styrene molded body.
