PURPOSE:To obtain a dividing device whose input range is wide and which is superior in linearity between input/output. CONSTITUTION:A level detection circuit 3 switches respective amplification factors of a dividend amplifier 1, a divisor amplifier and a correction amplifier 5. At the time of input VA>=EA, the amplification factor of the dividend amplifier 1 is '1' and it becomes GA(>1) at the time of VA<EA. At the time of input VB>=EB, the amplification factor fB of the divisor amplifier 2 becomes '1' and it becomes GB(>1) at the time of VB<EB. At the time of VA>=EA and VB>=EB, the amplification factor fC of the correction amplifier 5 becomes fC=1, fC=1/GA at the time of VA<EA and VB>=EB, fC=GB at the time of VA>=EA and VB<EB and fC=GB/GA at the time of VA<EA and VB<EB. Consequently, an output VC from the correction amplifier 5 always becomes k(VA/VB). |
