PURPOSE:To provide a controller which requires only a little of data to be written into a memory means when a step motor is driven and through which variable torque driving can be carried out easily. CONSTITUTION:A ROM 22 stores sine values for each of a plurality of angles between 0 deg. to 90 deg. and each value is then multiplied, through a current value operating means 27, by an amplitude value corresponding to a predetermined excitation current value of a step motor. A writing means 28 stores the current value for each address of a RAM 23. A read out means 29 then reads out current values written into continuous addresses of the RAM 23 in the order of address and upon finish of read out, read out direction is inverted and sequential read out operation is repeated. Current values read out through the read out means 29 for each angle are then converted through D/A converters 16, 17 into analog values which are outputted as the exciting current values for a step motor. |
