<p>PURPOSE: To insert an IC card with the contact area turned up and to improve arrangement of connection pins by providing a printed circuit board under a contact frame. CONSTITUTION: A contact element is composed of two sets of blades one of which is a set 6 of front blades adjacent to an IC card insertion slot and the other of which is a set 7 of rear blades on the other side. One end part of each blade is so formed that it projects downward under the flat surface of the frame for the purpose of electric connection to a conductive tab of an IC card 2. End parts or blades or the rear set 7 form connection pins 72 projecting from the side face of the frame 1, and blades of the front set 6 form connection pins 62 projecting from the side face of the frame 1 in the vicinity of connection pins 72 of the rear set.</p> |
