PURPOSE:To prevent the runaway of a program due to the one-bit error of an address in respect of a runaway preventing system for the program. CONSTITUTION:In a device provided with an address circuit with a count-up function and a preset function, a memory to store the program and to be addressed by the address circuit, and a control circuit whose operation is controlled by an instruction outputted from the memory, it is constituted as follows. A stop instruction is stored previously in an address area where only one bit is logical '0' or '1' in the memory, and when the one-bit error of the address is caused by wrapping around all the bits of the address to '0' after setting all the bits of the address to logical '1', the operation of the control circuit is stopped by accessing the stop instruction. |
