PURPOSE: To provide a dye donor element for substantially improving an incubation stability, a transfer density and a hue by incorporating a support for carrying a dye dispersed in a polymer binder to a surface. CONSTITUTION: A magenta pyrazolylazoaniline dye represented by formula (wherein R<1> , R<2> each is independently an H, 1-6C unsubstituted alkyl, allyl or the like, R<3> is an alkyl, allyl or the like as before, R<4> is independently H, R<3> , X is H or R<5> , Y is H or R<6> or the like, R<5> is an alkyl, allyl or the like as before, R<6> is R<5> or the like or the like) is contained in a polymer binder of a cellulose derivative, a polycarbonate or the like, and this is coated or printed by a gravure printing or the like in a coating amount of 0.1 to 54 g/m on a surface of a support of a polyester such as a poly(ethylene terephthalate). A rear side of the dye donor element is coated with a lubricating layer of a beeswax, a carnauba wax or the like to prevent a sticking of a print head. |
