PURPOSE:To control the output shaft torque of an automatic transmission with high accuracy from the early timing of speed change by feed-back controlling an ignition timing based on a basic control amount which is preset according to conditions at the time of speed change. CONSTITUTION:The target torque of a transmission output shaft after speed change is set by a target torque setting means based on the engine driving condition which is detected by a driving condition detecting means and gear ratios of before and after speed change of an automatic transmission detected by a gear ratio detecting means. At the same time, a basic control amount which is set based on an engine driving condition and gear ratio is supplied by a basic control amount supply means, and an ignition timing is feed-back controlled so that transmission output torque which is detected by a torque detecting means may become next to the target torque. It is thus possible to carry out proper torque control from the early timing of speed change, and cushion torque shock at the time of speed change of the automatic transmission with a torque converter as much as possible. |
