PURPOSE:To rapidly manufacture an image recording material having a card size by successively laminating a gradation data-containing image layer, a character data-containing image layer, a transparent protective layer and a transparent cured protective layer to a base material having a card size. CONSTITUTION:An image receiving layer 1b is provided on the single surface of a support 1a to form a base material 1. A gradation data-containing image 3 formed by a sublimation type thermal transfer system and a character data- containing image 2 formed by a melt type thermal transfer system are laminated to the predetermined surface of the image receiving layer 1b. Further, a transparent protective layer 4 is formed on the surface of the gradation data-containing image 3 and a cured protective layer 5 is formed to the whole surface of the base material 1 having the gradation data-containing image 3 having the transparent protective layer 4 and the character data-containing image 2. Next, a writing layer 6 is provided to the opposite surface of the base material 1 to obtain an image recording material A. If necessary, an embossed pattern, a sign, an IC memory and a magnetic recording layer can be laminated to the base material. |
