PURPOSE:To inform passengers on a vehicle of empty seats by providing the vehicle with a means to display the issue status of a reservation ticket for every seat. CONSTITUTION:A place to issue reservation tickets is provided with a reservation ticket issue device, a device for reserved seat management data to store the information for every section whether the reservation tickets of the seats in the section are issued yet, and a reserved seat management device to control a communication device and equipments for communication with the vehicle. The vehicle is, on the other hand, provided with a communication device to communicate with the reserved seat management device, a train position detection device, a display device to display the issue status of the reservation ticket for every seat, a reservation ticket issuing device and a reservation ticket display/issue control device. In this case, the communication devices to communicate with the vehicle and with the reserved seats management device are connected with telephone lines. A display device to display the use status of the seats in the vehicle displays for every seat if the reservation ticket of the seat has been issued, by, for example, a white lamp when the ticket is still available, by a red lamp when the ticket has been issued and by a yellow lamp when only the ticket to the next station is available but the one for after the next station has been sold. |
