PURPOSE:To provide a cable type linear actuator incorporating a linear motor producing driving force and can be used as a normal control cable. CONSTITUTION:A control cable incorporating a linear motor comprises a conduit 1 serving as a stator and an inner rope 2 serving as a mover wherein the conduit comprises a large number of armature coils C1, C2, an armor layer 3 serving as a stator yoke and applied on the armature coils, and an outer coat 4 thereabove wherein the inner rope comprises a core cable 7 serving as a yoke and field magnets 8 to be arranged thereon while alternating N and S poles. The control cable is further provided with a detector 10 for detecting the phase shift between the armature coil and the field magnet and means for converting the polarity of voltage to be applied on the armature coil based on a signal fed from the detector. According to the invention, freedom is increased in the design of arrangement and high space saving effect is achieved. Furthermore, the cable can be passed smoothly through a curved part because thrust is produced from the entire inner rope. |
