<p>PURPOSE:To control the device so that a magnetic tape can be kept at a constant prescribed tension regardless of the difference in the attitude of the device. CONSTITUTION:The tension of the magnetic tape is controlled to be the same as in the case of a horizontal position by changing the control current of a reel motor 21 and eliminating the influence of the dead weight of a tension arm caused by the difference in the attitude of the device by a means 20 detecting the difference in the attitude of the device. Thus, the device can be installed in its vertical position even in a limited area.</p> |
