PURPOSE: To tune a television receiver to a television signal and an FM radio signal with a single tuner. CONSTITUTION: A television receiver includes a single tuner 102, which is tuned to both television channels and FM broadcast stations. The tuner 102 is operated with a fixed gain set in an FM reception mode. The tuner 102 operates as a first conversion stage of a double conversion FM receiver, and a mixer 180b of an FM radio integrated circuit 180 operates as a second conversion stage. The integrated circuit 180 includes an oscillator 180c. This constitution operates with a specific first IF frequency which is not arbitrary.
