The invention relates to a device making it possible to remove, by means of a rocking system, a folding knife from a moulded case which can be carried horizontally on a belt (at the waist). It consists of two moulded parts (2) and (9) defining the volume necessary for installation of the rocking system, of a flap (3) and its metal closure system (4) and (4'), of a protuberance system (6) protecting the blade of the knife from the metal closure (4') and of a special cutout (5) permitting the installation of the metal closure system (8') and giving the loop (7) a size which is sufficient in order to be adaptable to the width of conventional belts. The device according to the invention is intended particularly for removing a folding knife from its case which can be carried horizontally on a belt. <IMAGE>
