<p>PURPOSE:To accelerate the treatment of a wound part in synergy with maintenance of the wound surface in an adequate moisture-retaining state and to cleanly regenerate the wound surface without leaving the traces of healing by consisting the above material of a water-absorptive gel layer and a moisture permeation control layer laminated atop this layer. CONSTITUTION:This material consists of the water-absorptive gel layer and the moisture permeation control layer laminated atop this layer. A matrix formed by chemically bonding polyethylene glycol which is a water-soluble high polymer with a non-woven fabric, woven fabric or knitted fabric of cellulose is used as the material to constitute the water-absorptive gel layer. Iodine is preferably incorporated into this layer. The moisture permeation control layer is a silicone film, porous polyolefin subjected to a treatment for hydrophilicity impartation, or partly halogenated polypropylene, etc. However, this layer is required to be graft-polymerized with methoxy ethyl acrylate or N-dimethyl acrylamide for imparting hydrophilicity.</p> |
