The invention relates to a folding box comprising side walls (3, 5, 7, 9) able to be reinforced and folded down, some of which are provided with stops (27, 29) to interlock the opened out walls. According to the invention, at least one of the walls which can be folded down comprises two articulated panels (15, 17) and the stops which are formed on two opposite walls (5, 9) adjacent to this wall with articulated panels comprise upper stops (27) and lower stops (29) which are offset with respect to each other so that, in the erected position, the upper and lower panels (15, 17) bear internally and externally against the said upper and lower stops respectively.
