PURPOSE: To improve the operation, particularly, during cornering in a circuit used for a brake system equipped with anti-lock control and/or traction slip control. CONSTITUTION: When a wheel rotational behavior typical of cornering is present, or when the deviation of the wheel speed from the vehicle reference speed exceeds a slip threshold SO, the wheel rotational behavior lasts despite reduction of the braking pressure, the deceleration-responsive/acceleration-responsive control thresholds is not attained, and the wheel slip is increased by an offset (ΔSO) for a prescribed period of time, or a period of time which is dependent on the further wheel rotational behavior, on the braking pressure variation and/or other control criteria.
