PURPOSE:To obtain a good output picture by eliminating unnecessary signals corresponding to the image such as moire which does not exist in an original when it is read. CONSTITUTION:In a decision signal preparation circuit 109, each reading signal for R, G, B obtained by reading an original is inputted and the average value for the reading signals is determined. In a discrete Fourier transform circuit 110, the spatial frequency analysis is performed from the average value of the reading signals. In a smoothing circuit 113, the smoothing processing is performed based on the analyzed result and the smoothed result is outputted. |
