CONSTITUTION: The light beam 20 of an optical random access storage device is passed through an XY deflection system 3 and a beam multiplexer 5 and dispatched to an optical type storage medium 2. The optical storage medium has the plural storage fields arranged in the form of matrix. A light source 2 is controlled by a control circuit 4 of the optical storage device with respect to pulse power between read and write for the pulse interval and pulse amplitude of the radiated light beam 20. In this case, access time is practically determined by the electronic signal processing of the control circuit 4 and the change of X or Y control signal is immediately answered so as to practically perform X/Y deflection through digital/analog conversion.
