PURPOSE: To obtain a rapid image generation and a high density image at the time of a low temperature of a carbonless copy composition. CONSTITUTION: A coating composition for use in carbonless copying system including (1) a resin dispersion which is a phenol/aldehyde condensation product formed by an interaction of an alkyl-substituted salicylic acid, an alkyl- substituted phenol, an aldehyde and a metal source, (2) a binder and (3) a pigment. This coating composition provides faster imaging in carbonless system than a conventional coating, at a temperature below room temperature. |
