PURPOSE: To provide printing of a high quality by drying an ink on a medium in a short time. CONSTITUTION: The printer 10 prints by a printer head 20 fed in a direction perpendicular to feeding of a sheet 16 fed in a direction of an arrow 26 by a sheet feeding mechanism 14 on the sheet 16. A heater 68 is provided under the head 20 to heat a sheet before, during and after printing to dry an ink. The sheet 16 is maintained in a contact state with the heater 68 by a sheet shim 76. |
