<p>PURPOSE:To prevent image quality from deteriorating due to increase fogging when printing is performed by the application of a voltage by compounding an electrolyte and a solvent that contains a reaction product of a ring-opening compound of an alkylene oxide with propylene glycol. CONSTITUTION:A recording material which at least contains a solvent and an electrolyte. The solvent contains a reaction product a ring-opening compound of an alkylene oxide -(R-O)n- (wherein R represents an alkylene group; and (n) represents an integer) with propylene glycol. The recording material changes its adhesiveness when a voltage is applied to a pair of electrodes, and comes to adhere only to one of these electrodes. Meanwhile, R is an alkylene group, preferably a 2-10C alkylene group, still preferably a 2-3C alkylene group, which means the ring-opening compound of an alkylene oxide should preferably be that of ethylene oxide or propylene oxide. The reaction product may be either a diether or a monoether. When it is a diether, the ring-opening compounds may be either identical with or different from each other.</p> |
