The invention relates to a luminous system connected to the safety belts of a vehicle at the moment when the buckle is fastened. With reference to Figure 2, the system consists of a luminous indicator (1) fixed on the top of the inner uprights of the front windscreen (2) and the rear window (3), which is connected to a positive electric wire (4) passing through the fuse box (5) and joining the battery (6). At the moment of fastening of the belt (11), when the stop (13) of the male buckle (12) presses on the contact button (8) of the female buckle (9), itself earthed to the bodywork (10) via a negative electric wire (7) connected to the indicator (1), electrical contact is made and the indicator (1) is illuminated. <IMAGE>
