Process for generating a series of video images (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) on a display (3). Video signals corresponding to each video image (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) are combined to supply a resulting video signal which is then applied to display means (2), especially a video projector, associated with the display (3), said images (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) occupying within the latter (3) complementary spaces, the contours of which may be modified. For use especially in communication, advertising, and public and home audiovisual systems.
