PURPOSE:To present the optical head device which can be miniaturized. CONSTITUTION:A prism assembly 34 is constituted by joining 1st-3rd prisms 51-53. The glass material of the 1st prism 51 and the glass materials of the 2nd and 3rd prisms 52 and 53 have different Abbe numbers each other. The 2nd prism 52 has a reflecting face 60 for reflecting a laser beam so as to return it. A semiconductor laser 32 and an objective lens 36 are arranged on the practically same side to the prism assembly. |
