1,046,371. Earth-moving equipment. DEERE & CO. Jan. 15, 1965 [Jan.11, 1964], No. 1889/65. Heading E1F. Earth moving equipment, e.g. a backhoe, has a vertically swingable boom 12, Fig. 2, and is supported for lateral swinging on a frame 18 which is mounted on a supporting stand 25 comprising spaced transverse beams 26, 27, Fig. 3, rigidly connected at their ends by structures 28, 29 to the tractor supporting frame (not shown). Lateral movement of the frame is effected by a piston rod and cylinder 66, 67 which are horizontally and transversely mounted between the beams 26, 27 with the rod 67 pivotally connected to the stand 25 and with the cylinder having a trunnion support 72, 73 thereabout with upper and lower vertically extending pivot pins 74, 75 received in the rear ends of upper and lower levers 60, 61. The levers are supported intermediate their lengths on vertical pivots 52, 53 of upper and lower pivot columns 50, 51 mounted on brackets 40, 41 connecting the beams 26, 27 with the frame 18. The levers are also connected at their front ends by a pivot 82 to the frame by links 80, 81. Stabilizing legs 30, 31 are pivotally attached to the structures 28, 29. An operator's seat 131 is mounted for swinging laterally by linkage to the pivot pin 74 of the trunnion 71 of the piston and cylinder 66, 67 so as to swing the seat in the opposite direction when the boom-supporting frame swings.
|
