PURPOSE:To obtain a means for mass producing iridescence-forming workpiece. CONSTITUTION:A metal surface is irradiated with an interference laser light, whereby fine irregularities corresponding to the interference fringes are formed. A synthetic resin molded material is obtained using the metal surface as an inner surface of a mold. On the surface of the molded material with said fine irregularities transferred, a conductive metallic film is formed. Using this molded material as a matrix, a thick film is plated by electroforming. This plated layer is released, whereby a metal plate with said fine irregularities transferred is obtained. In this manner, a large number of metal plates generating a reflection glossiness of a variously changeable beautiful iridescence due to said fine irregularities can be produced with a stably high quality using a single mold obtained by laser-machining. |
