PURPOSE:To suppress needless lowering of engine output in a high mu passage, in a vehicle equipped with an engine control means for reducing engine output so as to eliminate any slip and a braking force control means for exerting braking force on driving wheels when the driving wheels slip. CONSTITUTION:Engine output is controlled by operating a subthrottle valve 39 installed on the intake passage 35 of an engine via a throttle opening adjusting actuator 38 while an EPU 40 which control brake pressure by operating switching valves 31,32 and relief valves 33,34 intalled in rear wheels braking pressure supply lines 29,30 respectively communicated with the brake device 13,14 of rear wheels 3,4, is forced to make the threshold value for starting decrease of engine output larger than the threshold value for starting action of braking force on the rear wheels 3,4 when for instance, road friction coefficient is larger than the specified value.
