<p>PURPOSE:To reduce a lowering of membrane performance due to polarization of concentration by imparting reciprocating motion to a flat disk-like separation membrane in parallel with a membrane leaf to prevent entrainment of liquid to be treated which tends to occur in a rotary motion. CONSTITUTION:Membrane leaves each having separation membranes 1 (e.g. acrylonitrile copolymer ultrafiltration membrane) on both surfaces of a flat disk-like supporting body 2 and also having passages for membrane permeation liquid in said leaves are slipped on a hollow molded body 4 such as cylinder and spaced from each other at regular intervals through annular spacers 3. And the passages within the leaves are in communication with a hollow section 5 of the body 4 and said passages and section are liquid-sealingly separated from the outside to form a separation device, which device is dipped into a liquid to be treated 10 so that a reciprocating motion is imparted to the device in parallel with the membrane leaves by means of a geared motor 22, guide 7, spacer ring 8 and piston 9, etc., to take out, by sucking through a lead pipe 6, the liquid from the section 5. As a result, entrainment of liquid to be treated which tends to occur in a rotary motion can be prevented, thereby efficiently reducing a lowering of membrane performance due to polarization of concentration.</p> |
