<p>PURPOSE:To ensure the separation of sheets from each other in a paper feed device for a copying machine or the like, by constituting a means for separating sheets one by one from each other, with a plurality of separating members having different friction coefficients. CONSTITUTION:A separating piece 7 having a uniform material quality and an uniform friction coefficient is provided opposing a separating and feeding roller 5. A cut-out 7a is formed in the center section of the separating piece 7, and a press contact member 10 having a friction coefficient smaller than that of the separating piece 7 is provided on the back side of the separating piece 7. Further, the separating piece 7 and the press contact member 10 are supported by a holder 6, being made into press-contact with the separating and feeding roller 5. Further, a plate 8 for pressing the separating piece 7 is supported to the top part of the separating piece 7 so as to be swingable about a shaft 8a, and is urged toward the separating and feeding roller 5 by a spring 9.</p> |
