<p>The invention provides an axially fixed transmission joint (10) of the type comprising a body (14) secured to a first shaft and which delimits a cavity (16) inside which there is formed at least one pair of races between which there is received an articulation element (22) of the joint connected to a second shaft (12) whose free end (24) received in the cavity (16) interacts with a bottom (28, 32) of the cavity (16) so as to oppose any relative axial displacement of the second shaft (12) relative to the body (14) in the corresponding direction, and of the type comprising a sealing gaiter (34) a first end of which (36) is fixed to the joint body (14) in the vicinity of the free edge (26) of the cavity (16) and the second end (42) of which is fixed to the second shaft (12), characterised in that the gaiter (34) exerts on the second shaft (12) a force (F) along a direction substantially parallel to the axis (X-X) of the joint body (14) and in the direction of the bottom (28, 32) of the cavity (16) so as to maintain the said free end (24) of the second shaft (12) bearing under load against the bottom of the cavity. <IMAGE></p> |
