These compounds are used in medicine and also have a pronounced anti-microbial action. They have a common formula<IMAGE>,where A is the radical<IMAGE>,where R is CH3, C6H5 or<IMAGE>,where R is CH3, CH6H5, R1 is OH, NH C6H5, or<IMAGE>,where R2 is CH2CH2COH3 <IMAGE>.Description : oxazolo[4,5-b]-pyridine-2(3H)-thione interacts with bromine acetone or phenacyl chloride until the derivation of 2-(2-oxopropyl-, respectively 2-oxo-2-phenylethyl)thiooxazolo[4,5-b]pyridine, which react with hydroxylamine hydrochloride to the 2-hydroxiimino derivatives and with phenyl hydrazine to phenyl hydrazone. Upon interaction of oxazolo[4,5-b]pyridine-2(3H)-thione with methyl, vinyl ketone is formed 3-(3-oxobutyl)-oxazolo[4,5-b]pyridine-2(3H)-thione, with morpholine and formaldehyde is derived 3-morpholinomethyloxazolo[4,5-b]pyridine-2(3H)-thione.
