Copolymers of a) phosphonic acid derivatives corresponding to formula (I) <IMAGE> (I) wherein Y represents H or CH3, X represents a single bond or -CH2-, R represents an aryl or alkyl, b) maleic anhydride and c) a polymerizable compound containing two or more allyl or methally groups in the molecule.
