PURPOSE:To attain high speed and large capacity processing with respect to the packet exchange system implementing packet communication among plural processors installed to plural nodes. CONSTITUTION:The packet communication network in which packet communication is implemented among plural processors 2-11 to 2-nk installed respectively to plural nodes 1-1 to 1-n is provided with a virtual direct connection line network 4 comprising a fixed virtual line 3 connecting directly the processors 2-11 to 2-nk of the nodes 1-1 to 1-n and a connection control means 5 controlling the connection between the processors in its own node and interconnecting the processor of its own node implementing the packet communication and the processor of other node via the fixed virtual line 3.
