PURPOSE: To provide a terminal cell that can be sterilized and has resistance against a solvent by using a terminal cell body, a mesh screen, and a common material that is located at the outer periphery of the mesh screen and comprises an edge ring cast. CONSTITUTION: A chromatography column 2 comprises a column pipe 4 with a terminal cap 6 that is fixed at a lower flange 8 using a clamp at its lower edge. The cap 6 is made of molded plastic and has a terminal cell constituent 10 containing a liquid transmission screen 12. The floor of the adsorption body of the column 2 is arranged between screens 14 as in a piston 18 that contains a molding plastic terminal cell constituent for supporting the screen 12 and the upper screens 14. The terminal cell 10 is made of a same material and a plastic material is used. A distribution pleat for directing the flow of a liquid to be separated is provided on the upper surface of the cell 10 so that uniform pressure and flow rate can be obtained on recesses and screen through the screens 14 in a flat conical trapezoid. |
