<p>PURPOSE:To realize the cell traffic monitor device in which no cell is aborted by counting a margin when a cell transfer is allowed and allowing cell transfer in a range of margin when the contract condition is inadequate. CONSTITUTION:A comparison discrimination circuit 16 discriminates quantity of both inputs being a count of a counter 14 and a threshold level (n). In this case, when number of cells identified by a virtual path number VPI identification circuit 12 is (n-p) within an m-cell time (p<n) and the cell is not aborted, a register 17 extracts a value (p) generated by the subtraction and accumulates the value. The accumulation SIGMAp is added to the threshold level (n) and the result is used for comparison criterion of the circuit 16. That is, even when the sent cell number is (n+q) for a cell time (m) and the cell is under abort condition, when the value q<SIGMAp, the discrimination output is invalidated. Then a value (SIGMAq-p) is set newly to the register 17.</p> |
