PURPOSE:To obtain an acrylate compound useful as a vehicle for a coating material, an ink or the like by reacting a specified alcohol with a specified compound. CONSTITUTION:The objective acrylate compound is obtained by reacting an alcohol having at least one alcoholic hydroxyl group in the molecule and a molecular weight of about 30-3000 with a compound of the formula. A resin composition containing desirably 10-95wt.% above acrylate compound is cured by irradiation with, for example, ultraviolet rays to obtain a cured product.
