The invention relates to a motor device 300 for driving a magazine 100 of a machine tool which, consisting of a circular table 110 on which cradles 120a, 120b, 120c... are located at regular intervals, these cradles being designed to exhibit and hold products to be processed by the work station 200 of the machine tool, is mounted so that it can move around a stationary support shaft 130 with a circular movement, arrow R. This device 300 comprises: - a ring 310 for driving the magazine 100 mounted so that it can rotate (arrow R) on the said support shaft 130 underneath the table 110 of the said magazine 100 and securely attached to the latter, - a connecting rod/crank assembly 320 actuated by a connecting rod/piston 321 and which, mounted on the bed of the machine tool, is intended to convert the reciprocating rectilinear movement, arrow T, of the said connecting rod/piston 321 into an intermittent circular movement, arrow R, which will be followed by the abovementioned drive ring 310, - and a so-called "tensile" locking mechanism 330 making it possible rigidly to connect the connecting rod/crank assembly 320 to the abovementioned drive ring 310 during the displacement phase of the latter and to detach them during the stop phase.
