<p>PURPOSE:To offer the wooden club head which constitutes a characteristic feature of enlarging a sweet spot area by enlarging a moment of inertia, while solving the constraint of weight of a head main body. CONSTITUTION:Thickness, vertical length (a), and horizontal length (b) of a face surface part 10a of a head main body consisting of a hollow metallic shell having no rib structure for reinforcement purpose are set to <=3.5mm, >=40mm, and >=70mm, respectively, and also, volume of its head whole body is set to a value of >=190cc. The head shell is formed by a metallic sheet material 11 to which plastic working is performed. Since the moment of inertia can be enlarged, a sweet spot area can be enlarged, and directivity and a flying distance of a ball at the time of hitting a ball can be enhanced.</p> |
