摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To eliminate convergence even whenthe processing speed is slow by switching a case wherein an inverse orthogonal transformation is performed and a case wherein the inverse transformation is not performed in a picture element space where adding operation for the orthogonal transformation coefficients of a predicted error received from an encoding side is performed, and decreasing the frequency of the inverse orthogonal transformation. CONSTITUTION:When an (i)th frame is processed, its image information is stored in a picture element memory 201 and an orthogonal transformation coefficient memory 202 and image information which is already processed is stored in a picture element value memory 204 and an orthogonal transformation coefficient memory 205. A last fame preprocessing part preprocesses image information in an (i-1)th frame stored in an image storage part 101 and only reads stored values out of the memories 201 and 202 to generate an MC predicted image. Then whether the orthogonal transformation coefficient of the predicted error received from the encoding side is added or not on the orthogonal transformation coefficient space where the inverse orthogonal transformation is accompanied or not is decided by switching with a control signal. Then the frequency of the orthogonal transformation can be decreases, so even when the processing speed is slow, the convergence at an inverse orthogonal transformation part is prevented.</p>
