<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a skew sheet from being forwarded to an image forming part, etc., by discharging a hand-feed sheet which is fed askew. CONSTITUTION:A skew sensor consisting of two photo-sensors 16a is furnished downstream of sheet feed rollers 2, 3, and a control device 17 is installed between this skew sensor 16A and a drive device 6. When a sheet P is hand fed to the feed rollers 2, 3, the working piece 5a of a sensing means 5 is actuated with contacting of the sheet P, and a sensing signal S1 is given to the drive device 6. Thus the feed roller 3 rotates in the direction of arrow K1, and the sheet P is transported in the direction of arrow A. When the sheet runs askew, a time difference is generated while the leading edge P1 travels to reach the photo-sensors 16a. The control device 17 measures the time difference between the sensing signals S2 given by the two photo-sensors 16a, and if the measurement is greater than the set value, a judgement is placed that the sheet P is running askew, and an operation signal S3 is given to the driver device 6. Now the feed roller 3 rotates reversely in the counter-feed direction K5 to invert the transported direction of the sheet P which has been according to the arrow A. Thus the sheet P is discharged to the position with hand feeding.</p> |
