<p>The invention refers to the functioning of electrical energy systems which it improves at all levels. The technical guidance that the invention makes possible for today's electrical energy systems is mainly based on successful simulations of these systems. Thanks to these simulations, it is possible firstly to improve network analysis at the load flow level where information is obtained about voltage at network nodes, current flows and power in transmission lines and system transformers. Secondly, improved cost-effectiveness of the network, (optimal dispatch), which aims at production adjustments of electrical energy at the various system production plants in order to assure management of loads in the most cost-effective way. Thirdly, optimum reactive compensation improvements with the aim of giving the correct distribution of reactive power to network nodes, insuring that current levels stay within network safety levels. Fourthly, contingency analysis enhancement providing the network state in the event of a unit or units going out of service for various reasons. Fifthly, network state estimation enhancement with the objective to provide an estimation of the probable state of the network from a comprehensive group of measurements. Finally, improvements in the sector of load forecasting, as well as in sectors of application and cost-effectiveness of computers executing programs relevant to the condition and operation of the network.</p> |
